This website has no analytics, no tracking and no advertising. The only personal data involved is what any web server records when a page is requested, and what you choose to send us through the contact form or by email. This notice explains each.

Who is responsible

Metabian Limited, registered in Ireland under company number 802470 and based in Dublin, Ireland, is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us about anything in this notice atinfo@metabian.eu.

Cookies and scripts

Our pages set no cookies and run no scripts. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Third parties

Everything on these pages — text, fonts, styles, photographs, video and maps — is served from this domain. Your browser makes no requests to any third party when loading them: nothing comes from a content delivery network, a font service, an analytics provider or a social platform.

We check this before every release by loading each page and confirming that every request stays on this domain.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard web server logs when you visit: your IP address, the time, the page requested and your browser’s user agent. This happens on any website and is needed to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, which is the legitimate interest we rely on. The logs are kept for a limited period by the hosting provider. We do not combine them with other data, use them to identify visitors, or share them with anyone else.

The contact form

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, area of interest and message, and your company and country if you give them. The form sends them to us by email — partnering enquiries tobd@metabian.eu, everything else toinfo@metabian.eu— and from then on we treat your message like any other email to us (see below). It also sends one automatic confirmation to the address you gave, at most once a day to any one address.

The form itself keeps no copy of what you send. To stop it being misused, it keeps a scrambled one-way code derived from your IP address and from your email address — not the addresses themselves — with the time of each submission. Those records are deleted once they are two days old, the next time the form is used.

Email

If you email us, we use your message and contact details to deal with your enquiry and keep a record of our correspondence, for as long as that is needed for the enquiry or for our business records. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering you, or on taking steps towards a contract where your enquiry concerns one. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask for access to the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, erase it, restrict how we use it, or provide it to you in a portable form. You may also object to our processing of it. Write toinfo@metabian.eu.

You can complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland, or to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.

Changes

If this notice changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
