What we do

Every year, effective medicines remain unavailable in markets where patients need them — not for lack of a product, but for lack of a company to carry them across regulatory and commercial borders. Metabian does exactly that. As an Irish, European pharmaceutical company, we take responsibility for the marketing authorisation, registration and marketing of medicinal products in the international markets we serve — a portfolio developed and manufactured in Europe, the United States and Canada. Alongside our own portfolio, we also commercialise selected products on behalf of partner manufacturers.

Metabian focuses primarily on generic medicinal products — quality-assured equivalents of originator medicines as their patents expire. Within each therapeutic area we operate in, we build a comprehensive, complementary portfolio, with the aim of being a one-stop partner for that area.
